Black and Decker 6V Chrome Dustbuster from Argos
This cordless vacuum cleaner works very well on crumbs, grit and hairs - smooth surfaces or upholstery. Instead of a cradle to place it onto for recharging it has just a hook and a connecting cable from the mains adaptor to the cleaner. This seems to work well.
Clever stowaway design for storing the nozzle and brush under cleaner (but a bit fiddly to use)
Good points:
  • Plenty of suction. Positive connection to recharging system.
  • Very good value when I bought it as it was offered at half price
Bad points:
  • Slightly heavier than some models.
