Aigo A208 2GB Black from Argos
Terrific value for money for a 2GB mp3 player. Looks neat, sounds great, informative display, and although the navigation is a bit clunky it does work. Only complaint is that the random play does not select from all tracks uploaded (it will select from only the first few dozen) but if you never use that function it's not a problem. I gather it can hold an enforced maximum of 500 tracks, but that's not likely to be an issue in practice. It's also a 2GB USB memory stick, though it's only USB 1.1 so a bit slow. When it's plugged in to the computer it does not use its own battery, so no need to hurry when uploading!
Good points:
  • Good looks and sound
  • Informative and attractive display
  • Can hold lots of songs
Bad points:
  • "Random all" function is broken
  • Aigo technical support is poor
