Argos 513/4218: Idisgo Lite 1GB MP3 Player - Black

I bought one for my daughter's birthday in July '07, worked fine for a month or so, then MP3 player just didn't work any more. Argos exhanged it for a new one without a fuss, and it worked fine until now - Christmas '07, when the same has happened again. Being a techno-nerd I have spent all afternoon rummaging around the Internet to try and find some way to reset the thing, but to no avail. I have emailed the support people for the device and am awaiting a reply (well it is New Year's Day), but I'm not hopeful of getting a useful reply.

Not a good player, and ours went back - and Argos didn't bat an eyelid. Had a nasty hiss in the left ear that seemed to be function-related, suggesting it wasn't just a bad connection but something inherent. Looks like you can set the backlight colour, but instead it changes randomly so is pointless (perhaps it should be called an idisCo?). The display is not at all as depicted in the catalogue/website, just being a simple numeric read-out - so there's no way to navigate through the couple of hundred songs you could load on, let alone see their name etc.
